Fire of Mother Earth
Fire of Earth Mother
Rooted in stillness, she sits in quiet strength. The earth holds her, the flame within her rises. Beneath the lotus, roots travel deep into ancient soil, connecting her to memory, ancestry, and the wisdom carried through generations of women.
Fire of Earth Mother honours the sacred balance of power and softness. It is a reflection of the women who endure, who rebuild, and who return to themselves after change. Inspired by the strong, resilient women I have met on my journey, this piece speaks of healing, grounding, and the quiet courage that grows beneath the surface.
The steady gaze is calm but unwavering, a reminder that true strength does not need to shout. It is embodied, present, and deeply connected to the rhythms of nature. The lotus beneath her symbolises transformation, rising through darkness and uncertainty into light. The flame represents inner life force, creativity, and the sacred feminine spark that cannot be extinguished.
This artwork carries a nurturing, protective energy. It invites stillness, reflection, and reconnection with the body and the earth. Many are drawn to this piece during times of transition, burnout, motherhood, grief, or emotional healing, when grounding and stability are needed most.
Part of Eldara’s Divine Feminine collection, this work honours the ancient archetype of the Earth Mother, the one who holds, nourishes, and restores. She reminds us that strength is not always visible, and that deep transformation often begins in quiet spaces.
Each Eldara print is created through a sacred, intuitive process in our Worcestershire studio with devotion, presence and care. The foundation begins with a richly textured Gelli plate background, formed through slow meditative layering. Botanical forms, roots, ferns and natural elements are pressed and transferred to capture the organic flow of the earth. Watercolour washes and intuitive mark-making bring movement and softness before the final pen and ink drawing is carefully layered and refined.
Printed on 300gsm cold pressed acid free watercolour paper, each piece carries a pulled border edge, is hand embossed with the Eldara mark, signed and dated, and released in small heartfelt editions.
The archival inks and fine art watercolour paper are of gallery quality but not waterproof. Keep your print dry and protect it behind glass to preserve its texture and depth of colour.
