Eldara was born from a search for something deeper—a yearning for connection, mindfulness, and the sacred.

For years, I moved through a structured, corporate world, excelling in my career yet feeling a quiet pull toward something more—a whisper of purpose just beyond reach. It was through mindfulness and meditation that I truly began to listen.

Attending meditation classes with Coz Winn became a turning point. In that space of stillness, I found a connection to something profound—something that had been waiting for me all along. I devoured the words of spiritual teachers like Rebecca Campbell and Gelong Thubten, their wisdom igniting an awakening within me. Their guidance stirred something ancient and familiar, a call to step deeper into a spiritual practice that felt both personal and universal.

Memories of my mother surfaced—her quiet spirituality, the unspoken wisdom she carried. Though she had passed before I could ask her about this part of herself, I felt her presence guiding me, reminding me that this journey was already woven into my soul. I had also explored past life regression, uncovering a vivid sense of belonging to an era where healing and ritual were a way of life. I realised that I was being called back to something sacred, something I could no longer ignore.

From Creation to Calling

One of the first practices I embraced was ritual candle lighting—using a single flame as a focal point for meditation, affirmation, and setting intention. But the candles I found on the market didn’t resonate. They were mass-produced, filled with artificial colours and synthetic fragrances, their crystals lacking energy. I longed for something pure, something created with reverence and ritual.

So, I set out to make my own!

I immersed myself in the study of wax, wicks, essential oils, and energy work. I learned how to cleanse and prepare each candle with sacred intention—using Chalice Well water from Glastonbury, moon-charged crystals, and hand-blended botanicals. But it wasn’t just about the materials—it was about the energy. I incorporated affirmations, visualisation, and sacred practices drawn from nature-based spirituality.

Each candle became more than an object; it became a vessel for intention, infused with energy and purpose. These rituals of cleansing, charging, and blessing echo ancient traditions, blending mindfulness, Wiccan influences, and affirmation work into something accessible, grounding, and empowering.

The response was overwhelming when I shared my creations with my mindfulness group. They spoke of the candles deepening their practice, of feeling held, supported, and connected. Their gratitude was a sign: this was my path.

I reduced my corporate workload and stepped fully into this calling—to create tools for ritual, affirmation, and transformation.

Thus, Eldara was born.

The Essence of Eldara

Eldara carries the spirit of transformation, devotion, and sacred energy. It is a fusion of two ancient words, each holding a deep meaning:

• Eld (Old Norse) – meaning fire, a symbol of renewal, passion, and purification. Fire is the spark of creation, the energy that burns away the old to welcome the new, lighting the way for growth and awakening.
• Ara (Latin) – meaning altar, a place of offering, devotion, and spiritual connection. It is also linked to the Temple of Ara, a Wiccan tradition honouring nature, divine energy, and deep ritual practice. The constellation Ara, known as the Altar, is a celestial beacon of reverence and intention, reminding us that the universe is woven with sacredness.

Eldara is a sacred flame and an altar of devotion—a space where transformation begins, intention is set, and energy flows with purpose. There is also a whisper of Aradia, a guide in Pagan and Wiccan lore, who carried the wisdom of magic, nature, and empowerment. In this way, Eldara is both an invitation and a reminder—your rituals, energy, and light.

The Meaning Behind Our Eldara Logo

We wanted our logo to reflect the heart and soul of Eldara—a symbol of transformation, intention, and light. It is more than just a design; it carries meaning, energy, and purpose, just like everything we create.

At its centre, the lotus flower represents growth, renewal, and spiritual awakening. Rising from the mud to bloom in the light mirrors our journey—moving through challenges, embracing change, and unfolding into our most whole selves. This reflects the essence of Eldara: supporting you as you set intentions, releasing what no longer serves you, and aligning with your highest path.

Above the lotus, the flame symbolises the fire of wisdom, healing, and purpose. Fire is an ancient symbol of transformation, guiding us through darkness and igniting change. Eldara’s work represents the energy we pour into each candle and sacred essential—offering light in all physical and spiritual forms.

The radiating halo surrounding the design represents cycles, energy, and expansion, a reminder that every ritual, every intention, and every act of presence sends ripples beyond itself. The deep purple hue reflects spiritual wisdom and intuition, drawing from the third eye and crown chakras—aligning us with inner knowing and higher guidance.
