Our candles comply with UK safety regulations, including:

General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) 2005 – Ensuring all candles meet high safety standards.

Classification, Labelling & Packaging (CLP) Regulation (EC No 1272/2008) – Providing necessary hazard information for essential oils and fragrances.

How do I burn my candle safely?

Always remove all packaging before lighting.

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.

Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.

Why is the first burn important?

The first burn sets the "memory" of the wax. Let it melt to the edges of the jar (usually 2-3 hours) to prevent tunnelling.

How often should I trim the wick?

Trim the wick to ¼ inch (5mm) before each burn to ensure a steady flame and prevent soot or excess smoke.

What should I do if my candle burns unevenly?

Uneven burning can happen if the wick is too long or the candle isn’t placed on a level surface. Trim the wick and rotate the jar occasionally for even melting.

Can I burn my candle all the way down?

No, stop burning when ½ inch (1cm) of wax remains to prevent overheating and glass damage.

Why does my candle flicker or smoke?

This may be due to an untrimmed wick, a draft, or impurities in the wax. Trim the wick and move the candle away from any airflow.

What’s the best way to extinguish my candle?

Use a candle snuffer or place the lid over the flame. Blowing it out can cause wax splatter and create excess smoke.

Can I use my candle for skin application or ingestion?

No, our candles are for aromatherapy use only. Essential oils are potent and not safe for skin or consumption.

Are your candles safe for pets?

Some essential oils, such as citrus, eucalyptus, and clove, may not be safe for pets. Always burn in a well-ventilated space and monitor your pets for any reactions. If in doubt, do not burn around your pets.

What should I do if I spill melted wax?

Let the wax cool and harden, then gently scrape it off. Use warm, soapy water to remove any residue.

Can I reuse my candle vessel?

Yes! Once the wax is finished, clean the jar and repurpose it. We also offer a refill service—contact us for details.

How should I store my candle when not in use?

Keep your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, to preserve its fragrance and energy.

How do I dispose of leftover wax?

Let the wax cool and harden completely.

Gently remove it using a spoon.

Never pour melted wax, essential oils, or candle residue down the sink or into waterways. Wax and oils can be harmful to aquatic life and may cause blockages in plumbing.

To clean your vessel, wipe out any remaining residue with a cloth before washing with warm, soapy water.
